Granola

I didn't eat much granola in general until I started adding it to morning yogurt bowls...I was using store bought until I was introduced to a recipe made by my husband's stepmom.  She passed away earlier this year sadly, but I'm glad that she's still with us through her recipes.  This recipe makes a pretty good amount, although I'll say that my husband can plow through a batch in about a week.  But if it tastes good (and brings back happy memories), can you blame him?

Carole's Granola

Mix in a large bowl:
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup dried coconut
1/2 c slivered or sliced almonds
1/2 c sunflower seeds
1/2 c wheat germ (omit if you prefer it gluten-free)
1/2 c sesame seeds

Stir together and then pour over the dry ingredients:
1/4 c olive oil
1/2 c honey

Bake in a well-oiled baking pan at 300 degrees for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
